Can you idetify the model shown here
I am not familiar with the Sony ereaders however the kindle and nooks pictured in this Social Media Chimp graphic are the orignal kindle and nooks and its impossible to identify the model of ipad without turning it on and/or looking at the back of the unit. Can you identify which model this is or is it simply impossible to do that without having the model in your hands? I know very little about sony ereaders:

I'd say it's a PRS-650.

Earlier than that, I think. I bought mine in December 2010 and it had already been out a few months - probably Sept/Oct 2010 - at least in the UK. Although I see you're in Australia so I suppose it's possible the date may differ by location.

Sony usually releases a new reader in the Fall to catch Christmas sales, so it was around October 2010 for the PRS-x50 line of readers; then around October 2011 for the T1 reader.
I bought my first PRS-350 in early January 2011 and I love it. |

It's late and I've had a long days drive, but it read to me like he wanted to know about the ipad..... an unknown world to me anyway.
But the Sony is a 3/650 - and Sony would have "allowed" a few images out ahead of time - or were nicked and published by enthusiasts. |

Have a look at the eBook Museum:
http://museo.ebci.it/index.php/en/th...abase/nosearch The PRS-350, according to the Word of Luke , has been introduced in September 2010. I guess the PRS-650 got a similar time frame. |

You are probably right with the kindle, the first model had the buttons slanted. On model two they were streight as they are in this picture.

It is not a 650. The button icons are wrong. 60 has a book with a page half turned between the < and >. A house in the middle. A magnifying glass with + for the 4th button and the word OPTIONS for the right most.
And the 650 does not have that rounded of corners on the right side. BTW official launch of the x50 line was August 2010. But they were not actually shipped until Sept or early Oct. Also not a 350 for the same reasons. Not a 600, the corners are right, but the icons are wrong. |

Isn't it just a piece of vector graphic art that looks very like a 650 or a 350, but isn't exactly any of the models?
