Hi from Western Pennsylvania
Hi All. My name is Tony and have been an avid reader since childhood. I can be eclectic in my reading material however always gravitate back to science fiction/fantasy. Am now reading Carol Brunet's new book. Usually read print books but since getting my i Pod touch, have been reading on that when books aren't available (and think ruining my eyes) and am now considering a real e reader.

Hi Tony and welcome to MR.

I am also an avid reader since childhood and thought that nothing good replace books for me. How wrong was I. I love my reader and the freedom it gives me. How neat to be able to move around with the whole library in your pocket.

As I am getting a bit older every day I need to adjust the font size - depending on the light or how tired I am. It's sooo easy on a reader. No more 'putting the book aside cos I can't see the words'.

So if you want to research readers, head over to this subforum and dive right in.

Good to have your company, Tony. And I think you're right to consider an ebook-dedicated reader. My son uses his iPod for ebook reading and, whenever I've tried it for any length of time, I end up with a hedache. There's not the hint of strain with my wee Sony, though, no matter how long my reading session. Best wishes. Neil

I lived in Squirrel Hill, just above the Squirrel Hill tunnel. Lots of good pizza and bagels on Murray Avenue!
