I've decided to have lunch today at a neat burger place just in front of the university, but I can't decide whether to have fries or onion rings, so let's vote

Always fries for me. But that's because I have a "secret" sauce that I love with them.

LOL if it was one of the choices I'd have picked it. Or coleslaw.

Don't worry about health. they will both make you fat and give you a heart attack. Have them - don't have them..

Onion rings are not a side-dish, they're an accompaniment for god's sake. Imagine, going to the fish and onion ring shop or having an onion ring buttie. Get real girlfriend!

When dining out, the choice is always fries -- no salt and cooked extra crispy (usually means cooking them twice). I've always found restaurant onion rings to be excessively greasy for some reason.
But at home, I prefer to make onion rings with my chicken wings or burger. I buy the Alexia Onion Rings at the grocery and bake them. They are essentially "greaseless" and thus enjoyable. (I've found that as I've gotten older, I can tolerate less greasiness in my food. Age is destroying my ability to eat unhealthily as a matter of choice. ) |
