amazon appstore on Jelly Bean
The Amazon Appstore app runs like a slug on my Xoom (4.1.2). It barely scrolls, and seems to have trouble finding updates (I finally uninstalled the Kindle and Audible and MP3 apps and now get them from Google Play instead). Plus it is always telling me about 'new' apps even though I haven't gotten any, but without giving the name of the app. Seems like it is seriously in need of an update, but maybe it is too broken to even update itself. It seems to be version 2.6.53. Does anybody have something newer?

Sweet, now up to 4.0.634.0. Can't say it is dramatically better (scrolling is still quite jerky), but it could not have been much worse than it was. For one thing it now seems to know which apps it has installed (as opposed to those managed by the Google updater), which is a vast improvement over what I had.
Thanks! |

My Acer Iconia A500 running Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 has Amazon Appstore version 2.6.53. When I select "check for update" it says "no update found," so I guess that's the latest Appstore version for ICS?

Thanks. Since the Amazon Appstore seems to be working just fine on my tablet, I'll probably just leave it at the current version for now.
