An essay in which Dorothy Sayers argues that we ought to rethink our ideas about work; and that the Church also needs a more nuanced position.

What the Church should be telling him is this: that the very first demand that his religion makes upon him is that he should make good tables.”

I've heard that said in regard to persuading people to join your political party or church or other such group.
