This has been done already, more or less; use the sleep function. If you're putting your kobo down for a second, or moving yourself to another room, nudge the power button to go sleep, nudge it again to wake it up. will be at the exact place where you left off in a book, or menu, and it takes less than a second to "lock/unlock" it.

Sure, you can't see where you are at that point and time, but it works in a pinch. If you're looking at something to lock it while you're actually reading, I don't believe any touch device to date has something like that (even the ipad goes to a locked screen...)

a possibility to make multiple bookmarks.
I'm reading a book which my son is also reading.
It makes a bookmark at the position the last time the book is read.
Would be nice if we could save different bookmarks.

For Kepub books, you can. Highlight a word on a page you're reading. you can then go back to that particular highlight, and you can setup multiple highlights to go back to different pages for different people. There's really no other use for highlights at this point and time other than posting it to facebook.

This feature will surely be coming to sideloaded books too, just not sure when.

Some sort of low battery warning please. Again my Kobo touch just suddenly shut itself down right in the middle of a chapter.

I don't have the Touch (yet...), but I would be more inclined to get it if I could choose to tap on left side instead of right for "page forward".

Or even better, as suggested by someone else earlier, have even more choices what sector to tap for page forward.

Just letting you guys know that we are actively monitoring this thread and it is influencing our backlog of work.

We won't be able to get to all requests (priorities / time) but we'll get to as many as possible.

This is extremely valuable and your involvement is immensely appreciated.

Use the dictionary feature within the dictionary. You’re reading a book and touch a word to use the dictionary. The dictionary defines it using a word you do not understand. You should be able to touch that word from within the dictionary to open up it's definition.
