Notepad?

So here's the deal..I'm in college and I was planning on using my Sony Reader to take notes with the notepad function. I figure it saves paper, pens, etc. I was just wondering if there is any way to convert/save the notepad files onto my computer somehow so I can have copies of my notes on my computer? I'm sure that having them on the reader is fine, but this would add some functionality for me.

Thanks.

It's really not that handy, or fast, or accurate.

The handwriting function of the reader works rather well. Entering text via the touch keyboard is what I've found to be rather slow. To answer your question, I haven't seen a way to copy the files themselves from the reader to the computer, which is a shame. If you make a text note on the reader and view it in Reader Library, you are able to copy and paste the text of it into a document on your computer and save it as you like. But the keyboard function is so slow that I'm not sure if this would work well for typing notes in class.

Yes, it's definitely possible. You need to open the Reader in the Reader Library software. There you will find a button that says something about save notes. You click that and it will save them for you as an RTF file. If you jot down notes around an existing document, it should save about 5-6 lines of text above whatever it was you were notating.

Thank you, Eric! I was previously using Calibre so I did not know about this function.
