error when editing meta data

hi
here is the message i get after getting the meta data for my book
and then clicking ok

ERROR: ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>MemoryError</b>:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\dialogs\metadata_single.py", line 774, in accept
File "site-packages\calibre\library\database2.py", line 1415, in set_title
File "site-packages\calibre\library\database2.py", line 460, in set_path
File "site-packages\calibre\library\database2.py", line 920, in format
MemoryError

What version of calibre and what operating system are you using?

The above question aside, what that message means is that your computer is reporting a memory error. (note that it would be helpful if you said that your 'edit' is adding formats.) Where is the format coming from? Is is a disk? A USB stick? Something else? Is the format you are trying to load huge, larger than the memory size of your computer?
