Starting problems
Hi,
I have problems at the very first start of calibre. At the wizard page there is no way to go next. I can choose the language and a directory. But the back and next buttons are grey. There is no way to really start calibre or quit it. I have a Mac with Snowleopard. Hope someone can help me. Thank you!!! |

Try choosing a different language and then selecting the directory

Thank you for your quick Post.
I tried many many different combinations. But it changed nothing. Do you have some other suggestions? |

Try not changing the language, just choose a directory. You can always change the language later in Preferences.

Hi,
I tried all your suggestions, I also changed the system language, but still the same problem. Am I the only one with this problem? |

I don't remember any one else mentioning this problem. But here's a solution that will skip the running of the wizard entirely so you can start calibre and then do the configuration within calibre itself.
Just unzip the attached file and cp dynamic.pickle to /Users/your username/Library/Preferences/calibre/dynamic.pickle Now try to run calibre, it should just skip the welcome wizard. |
