The Phoenix Legacy, a trilogy by M.K. Wren
I read these SF books (twice) around 30 years ago and really liked them. Amazon now has them for the kindle.

99 cents for the first book and 2.99 and 3.99 for the other two. I hope they are as good as I remember.

I found them a bit slow every now and then. Then again, it has been quite I while since I read them. I think I digitalized my own copy about a year ago. The dutch translation that is.

Yep, I bought the ebooks some time ago. Good books, I was glad to find them in ebook format to replace my old paperbacks.
