I put in a request for The Princess Bride at my local library. I'll be reading it regardless (or is that irregardless).

Ginger Man it is.
Just as an FYI, there are 40% off coupons at Kobo right now which knock the price down to five bucks and change. |

I voted for the Thorne Smith in part because it's free!
I want to read it for sure, but Shutter Island cost money, and the last humor selection Hal Spacejock cost money, so I'm in the mood to read one that's free this time. |

Hard choice this time, but I've been waiting until April to read The Princess Bride. So that's what I went with. But I'll be happy with almost all of the above. Last edited by The Terminator; 03-23-2012 at 11:59 AM. |

Thanks for the information about the Kobo coupon. I went ahead and purchased Confederacy of Dunces for just $5.21 that way. I've wanted that in ebook for along time, and it is also what I voted for here. I'll be happy to read 7 out of 9 of the other possible choices though. It's just if what ends up being selected is not free as an ebook I'll go the paper book route from my local library. I actually just read The Nightlife of the Gods in March, so if that is selected it will free up my time for some other book.

I became a fan of Leacock after I read his essay "A, B,And CーThe Human Element in Mathematics" which is hilarious. Sunshine Sketches sounds very promisingーthough there are lots of other excellent choices in the list.

I probably shouldn't be sharing this, but the voting so far has totally surprised me: None of the books nominated are in the lead. Instead, most members have been doing a write-in for this.

No Kindle here! I'll have to sit out this month, alas.

I admit I voted for it, but I couldn't resist. It was the "super giggles" part that really intrigued me.
