Café-liseuse in Paris, JAN29 @ 5 to 7 p.m.
After a few requests for explanations/ demonstration of the SONY 600's functions, or the mysteries of Calibre usage, we've come up w/ a new concept (and a new excuse to meet & drink together)... sooo:
on the 29JAN10 @ 5 p.m. au café Livre ("the book café", no kidding!) 10 rue St Martin, 75004. [01 42 72 18 13] We'll be there w/ a couple of liseuses (Sonies & Bookeen, as far as I know) & a couple of netbooks; so we can look, listen, ask questions, & explain... You're welcome to join us of course! |

I'm still trying to get my husband to go to Paris for our 8th anniversary, so, don't count on me for that weekend.
(oh, if you know some nice (not too touristy!) hotel, somewhere in the center of Paris, that is not too expensive, with a spot where I can park my car (to leave there while we cross town by metro, or any other form of public transportation), I would love to know!) |

(doggie stares at ceiling dreaming of blowing $804 on a round-trip non-stop flight to Paris to sneak into and experience a real àpéřȭ. Maybe even stop to pick up Vcat on the way - afterall, how can you have an àpéřȭ without the Minister of Lolling Around present? Then THOUAQUE!!! - reality sets in.)
Man, I sure hope you folks have another fun time! |

And I've found the title back: Support Minister of Lolling About and Nursing Hangovers Whilst Lying in Precarious Positions. Surely that with such a title, I have to be a guest of honnor in Paris, and me and my doggie escort can beneficiate all kinds of special treatments and discounts? Right? Right? No Thouaquy reality chok treatment for this kitty, I'm going to bed smiling! (wait, what?) |

Well, there is a Paris just west of Buffalo, New York. It has no airport, so Greyhound is definitely your best bet! And they speak English, too. And take 'merican money at par...
Probably not too many book cafes though... Happy Travelin' Last edited by pholy; 01-20-2010 at 12:19 AM. Reason: Caution about book stores |
