Free online serial novel (completed now) from DarkFuse: Collected Songs of Sonnelion by Lee Thompson. The chapters were posted as they were written so they are in reverse order. To get to Chapter 1, scroll down this page and keep clicking the little arrow to the right until you see it.

Currently, there are no other editions planned beyond this free web novel, so please take advantage of reading it now, as it will only be available to read during the period that the novel is being written plus a few weeks after it has been completed. After that, it will be removed. Why are we limiting the time of publication? Because this publishing experiment is meant to be read to coincide with the author’s creative process. You get to read all the new chapters as soon as the author writes them. So any new plot twists or character developments occur quickly from the author’s mind to your reading experience. DarkFuse editors will be performing read-throughs to clean up any simple typos or issues to improve your reading experience.

Red’s family moves again, seeking solitude and peace in the little town of Division where some of their family is originally from. There he meets a boy named Abraham Nutley who is a few years older than him, and he seems to take to Red, actually like him, but he’s also trouble—more than Red could have ever imagined.

After Amy (Red’s one true love) hitchhikes to Division because there’s nothing meaningful left of her family, and after Abraham introduces Red to his buddy Lucas (both in The Dampness of Mourning fifty years later) Red faces trials that shape him into who he is as an adult, and the shattered, grieving man who has to wear the black velvet gloves.

Red carries secrets from this novel throughout his adult life until he has to help John and Mike beginning with Nursery Rhymes 4 Dead Children.

Just curious - what is the reason for this post? I didn't see anything wrong in post #1, which is the only post before this one?????
