Ordained Irreverence (Elmo Jenkins Book One) is free today at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...w_myk_ro_title

I found it today in one of my Amazon wish lists. It says that it was $2.99 when I added it.

Quote:
With over 170 "Five Star" reviews.

Ordained Irreverence is a very funny novel about a young church intern named Elmo Jenkins who's learning the ropes in a big downtown church. It's loaded with humorous, awkward, and even touching stories, many of which were inspired by the author's own experiences. The cast of characters filling the pews at First Church keep Elmo on his toes and more than a little bewildered at times. Woven throughout Elmo's adventures is a hundred-year-old mystery he's determined to solve and even a chance at romance along the way. McMillian Moody's fast-paced, laugh-out-loud novel will bring a smile to even the most backslidden amongst its readers. - OBT Bookz

Includes Special Features: Cast of Characters, Deleted Scenes, Elmoisms, and an Interview with author McMillian Moody.

"Do yourself a huge favor, order Ordained Irreverence". Pete Wilson author of Plan B.

One reviewer wrote, "I have now sailed through the first few chapters of your book, and I am SHAKING with laughter. Maybe this is a Monty Python moment where you have to be in a certain mood to stomach, or enjoy "THE HOLY GRAIL", but your book has caught me in such a convulsive moment.

Free from Cozy Cat Press: The Black Dog (Marcie and Amanda Mysteries) by Glen Ebisch.

Quote:
When Jerome Kronberg, who is facing prosecution for investment fraud, dies in a fall from a mountain in Connecticut, there are some people who believe it was no accident. Some think it was suicide; some suspect he was killed by an irate client. Others suspect a more supernatural cause. According to the legend of The Black Dog, if you see the dog three times on the mountain, you die, and Kronberg had seen the dog twice when he took his last hike.

It is The Black Dog that motivates Marcie Ducasse to investigate the death for her Weird Happenings Column in Roaming New England Magazine. While Marcie is dealing with a deadly dog, Amanda Vickers, her editor, is trying to decide whether to accept a proposal of marriage from her persistent boyfriend. Both women are forced by the events confronting them to dig down and find new sources of strength.

Free today on Amazon - Shelter From The Storm: A Hard-Boiled New Orleans Legal Thriller (Tubby Dubonnet Mystery #4) by Tony Dunbar
'THE SEAMIER SIDE OF THE CRESCENT CITY...

To out-of-town kingpin Willie LaRue, Mardi Gras seems the perfect time for a New Orleans heist – nobody, but nobody will be thinking about a single other thing. Parties, parades, chaos, alcohol – who could be concerned about a little thing like a bank job? Indeed, all might have gone well except for an out-of-season frog-flogger that threatens to flood the French Quarter – something even Hurricane Katrina couldn't do.

Next thing you know the survivors – thieves and revelers alike – find themselves marooned together. As the LaRue gang plans its watery escape, raffish lawyer Tubby Dubonnet is obliged to take time out from his customary eating and loafing to thwart their murderous intentions. The body count rises as the tempest subsides, and Tubby finds himself fighting not only for his life, but (it seems to him) the very city itself. '

J. K. Rowling's mystery novel The Cuckoo's Calling, originally published as by Robert Galbraith, has dropped from $9.99 to $6.50 at Amazon US. Not quite what I'd call a bargain, but some may be interested. Still $9.99 or higher at Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Sony, Apple, Amazon CA, and Amazon UK.

If you want an EPUB, try Google Play since this is a price match for their end of summer sale.

Google uses ADE (mostly EPUB, but some also offer PDF), so yes, Alf and Google Books get along well together.

Incidentally, in the past, it has been a little challenging to figure out how to download the EPUB from Google, although their recent redesign makes it a little easier:

Go to http://play.google.com/books and it will show all of your purchased books. If you hover over the book you want download, three dots will appear in the upper right hand corner of the cover. Click that and one of the menu options is "Download EPUB" and/or "Download PDF".

The old way was to go to the product page and click on "How to read" and it offered download links on that page after you'd purchased. Here's the Help article from Google on downloading to eReaders:
