Remote
I've gotten a cover, a light and screen protector. All the available accessories, right?
But then I discovered a glaring flaw. Call me a lazy fat bastard if you must, but I want a remote. Here is why. When sitting on my patio I open the flip cover of my jacket and stand the Kindle on the table in front of me. I sit nice and relaxed, working hard on my tan, while reading something I enjoy. But every 40 - 50 seconds I have to lean forward and press Next Page. Now a little tiny remote attached to the mini-UBS port with two simple buttons, and I'd reach Reading Nirvana. |

Turn on the text-to-speech and turn the volume all the way down. It'll turn pages for you.

Well for heaven's sake!
And you can make it somewhat faster or slower by adjusting the reading pace. |

I tried to give you some karma for that great tip, Brian, but I couldn't do it. Apparently you were the last person I gave karma to, for some other great tip! :

Unfortunately, I can't get it to synchronize with my reading speed. Also, is there a shortcut key to turn it off? Had to go to the bathroom and before I could get to the correct menu, well don't even get me started. |

If I recall correctly the main newspapers were New Haven Register and Hartford Courant, are they still published? |

I want to join your club! I also want to be a lazy, fat bastard if that means I can have a remote for my ereader. Oh, the joy of sitting in Just. The. Right. Position and only having to flex my finger to turn a page. No other movement. Nirvana! I'm telling you - the first ereader that comes out with this option will definitely get a hard look from me. What?! There's nothing wrong with that! Marilyn P.S. Yes, I know my PB360 can automatically turn the pages for me. But, I want the control. What if I sneeze? I'll be two pages forward before I know it. Me want remote! |

Sorry - you must have mistaken this forum for a government-run one, where you WOULD have such constitutional rights. But this is a privately-run message system, where you agreed to abide by the rules and regs that the owners stipulate when you originally logged on and registered and participated. You know, that "agreement" that you never read when you first came here. If you had read that, you would have seen that the owners and their appointees here have total control of what appears and what does not appear on their system. And it is all spelled out for us right up front. This system is a magnificent wealth of information, and there's no denying that fact. So the owners and moderators must be doin' something right ...
