I mean system backup for restoring system if I accidentally get "brick".
Something like Nandroid Backup on Android devices. |

Just no one has had time to do that yet. You are welcome to get started on that KUAL button if you would like. (There is no hurry by anyone to provide this, since Kubrick will recover a K4 in about 10 minutes.) |

You don't necessarily need a system backup. Kubrick IS a system partition backup
If you want to backup the main partition with all the modifications that you made to it, then dd mmcblk0p2, as explained on the Wiki page. Last edited by ixtab; 05-23-2013 at 06:12 AM. |

A nandroid backup is for android devices because there are SO MANY devices that it is impossible to have a single universal root partition. But as all kindles of a model have more or less the same root (a file here or there in 3g vs wifi), you can use kubrick, a live cd that you can boot to, to flash your kindle's partitions (Just like you flash a rom.) .
