List of retailers affected by the Agency Five embargo
BooksOnBoard.com
Diesel-ebooks.com eReader.com Fictionwise.com If you know of others, please add them. I just tried to buy a Discworld bundle from Diesel with no luck. It turns out they are affected by the embargo as well. I found the following announcement on their site: ====================================== Agency Five Announcement Announcements On April 1st 2010, two of our distributors asked all of their retailers, including Diesel eBooks, to temporarily pull titles from the following publishers: Hachette HarperCollins Macmillan Penguin Simon & Schuster (Please see below for a complete list of imprints.) These publishers, now known as the Agency Five, are renegotiating eBook terms with their retailers and are working to have this issue resolved shortly. Once Diesel receives the okay, we will restore all the titles of the aforementioned publishers to the store as soon as possible. HOWEVER, due to caching issues, you still might be able to see a Agency Five title on our site and will be dismayed to find out that you will not be able to download it. The Diesel eBook Store apologizes in advance for any inconvenience. Thank you again for your continued patronage. ================================================== ================================== The big five are… Hachette (Grand Central, Little Brown, Faith Words, Windblown, Orbit, Center Street, Yen Press) HarperCollins (Amistad, Avon, Caedmon, Ecco, Eos, Harper, ItBooks, Rayo, William Morrow) Macmillan (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, FSG, Hill & Wang, Faber & Faber, First Second, Henry Holt & Co., Metropolitan Books, Times Books, Nature Publishing Group, Palgrave Macmillan, Picador, Quick and Dirty Tips, Scientific American, St. Martin’s Press, Minotaur Books, Thomas Dunne Books, Tor/Forge, Orb Books) Penguin (Penguin, Ace, Alpha, Amy Einhorn Books/Putnam, Avery, Berkley, Dial, Dutton, Firebird, Frederick Warne, Gotham, Putnam, Grosset & Dunlap, HP, Hudson Street, Jove, NAL, Pamela Dorman Books, Perigree, Philomel, Plume, Portfolio, Prentice Hall, Price Stern Sloan, Puffin, Razorbill, Riverhead, Sentinel, Speak, Tarcher, Viking) Simon & Schuster (Atria, Folger, Free Press, Gallery, Howard, Pocket, Scribner, Simon & Schuester, Threshold, Touchstone/Fireside) |

Anyone know if Sony is impacted? I did a search for Richard A. Knaak and all his Diablo and World of Warcraft have been removed. I believe those books are published by Simon & Schuster.
