Is it possible to use a keyboard with the Kindle?

Using an OTG wire(microUSB to USB), is it possible to type with an external keyboard?

With appropriate software. You might need to suppy external power to the keyboard.

You can read an interesting discussion of USB OTG (host) mode the kindles starting here:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...38#post2120138

But especially, in that thread is a link (now dead, but here is an archived copy):
USB Host on the Kindle 4

He is using a USB network card and USB sound card on his Kindle 4, but he is using a custom kernel:
Kindle kernel

But unfortunately, archive.org did not archive his kernel source code git repository. Sad how interesting parts of web history up and vanish like that... Hopefully a keyboard driver would need minimal kernel mods, and may only need a loadable kernel module (.ko file). As I mentioned in that other thread, look at what the Nook folks did to activate USB OTG on their very similar devices...

EDIT: It seems that archive.org is a bit fussy about HOW you find and navigate an archived private git (or what remains of it), but I did find the gitweb LOG for the source code files (perhaps useful for "googling for clones"): https://web.archive.org/web/20150506....git;a=summary
