Locking Device in Portrait View inside the ePUB

Hi, does anyone know if there is a code to "lock" an epub in portrait view in ipad and nook?

The book I'm doing is an adventure type where the reader chooses the path to take but unfortunately if the reader views the book in landscape the other "paths" are shown instead of the path he has chosen.

How about forcing every path on a new page? The only problem then would be if there are two pages displayed. That might be solved by adding empty pages after each path. Not a nice solution though.

Every path is in a new page but there are instances where two paths are shown in "landscape" view side by side. Adding an extra blank page at the end of each path/choice is a bit ugly.

I did find a way to lock the view for iPad using the "com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml" file but still haven't a solution for Nook.

There is no solution other than making each path it's own 'chapter' (well spine item).

There will be a general solution for this as part of an EPUB3 update for Fixed-Format content, however if your content is XHTML based, this won't work (spec ratification for EPUB3-FF is ongoing)

shuffle the path jumppoints the same way it has been done in the old paper solo adventure books. This way you're preventing people to read to far by accident.

If they want to cheat the fun of actually playing the book by the rules you can't stop them and it's their loss.
