Yes but Kindle support is known to replace stuff that was damage and not a defect so it's worth a shot. If nothing else they may give a discount. Some older computers won't recognize the fire without the right cable.

The OfficeMax in my area had a Micro USB cable for $7
The sales guy told me it worked with all android devices. Cheaper than Amazon's price. |
