7.1 big in search n replace cleanup.
In previous versions if I do a search and replace to remove a span or links or something of than nature in an epub like
<h2 class="calibre10" id="calibre_pb_21"><span class="calibre6 bold"><a class="calibre21" href="../Text/html_split_004#filepos3071"><span class="bold">Seven</span></a></span></h2> if I searched on <a class="calibre21" href="../Text/html_split_004#filepos[0-9]+"> part and replaced it with blank (to remove it altogether), if the S&R was set to regex and all HTML files the trailing </a> has always been removed in all the files. In 7.1 it is left in and in some cases all HTML after the line being modified is just removed. It looks like the automatic cleanup code is not being run anymore. in the case of all HTML files like it always has been in the past. |

You were relying on Tidy to fix the error (IMHO a poor practice. You take your chances Tidy will make the correct choice). |

What you're seeing is by design. Sigil shouldn't be randomly changing markup behind your back. If you want to replicate the old behavior after doing the F&R, right click in CV and use the reformat HTML options.
