Only Page 1 Visible Problem

Hello,

I've had my Sony PRS 300 for a few months with no problems. Recently, when I download a new book from the library, my current book will reset to page 1 and only have page 1 available to view on the reader. It says protected page when I click on page 1. It looks fine in my Digital Editions, and when I view the reader through the computer "E" drive. It's like the book is there but I can't access it.
To read it, I have to manually delete the book from the reader and from the Digital Editions file several times and keep downloading another version from my library account until it finally has all the pages in the book visible.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem? It takes an hour to fix it every single time it happens. Aaarrgghh!!!!

I'm going to make the assumption that both ebooks are from the library and one was a PDF and the other was an ePub. If this is the case then the problem is a known issue with library book on Sony's and possibly other devices. This only happens with public library books and does not like having ePub and PDF on the device at the same time. If you have 2 or more library books on your Reader at the same time they either have to all be ePub or all be PDF.

Thank you. One book is an ePub and the other is a PDF so I deleted one of them and it's fine now.

This is not technically true. You can not put both pdf's and ePub's on the reader in the same installation but they can both reside on the reader at the same time.

My workaround: I use the Sony software to install the ePub's to my reader and Adobe DE for PDF's. Both file types are then visible at the same time. Just make sure you have authorized Adobe with your reader.
