Pretty good B/W contrast in the photos, though some weird glare or edge-lighting (?) at the top of the screen.

And...'3x battery life improvement' - compared to what?

compared with lcd.

its edge lighting only for that particular display for that concept idea for that kind of show.

they have shown front/edge lighting for the larger display in a more polished near ready for retail concept
