I think I've made my decision.

I've been looking for an e-ink device for quite a while. My requirement is pretty simple: good PDF and TXT support. I have quite a few good PDF files, some of which are of sorta complicated page format, like multi columns with charts or pictures. I dont really care about touch-screen or wifi fuctions, coz those are not necessary to me, and would only make the devices more pricy.

I just saw a review about the Foxit Eslick in another forum. The guy just got a new Eslick and attached many picures to show the display of different files, which really appealled to me. Now I'm pretty sure I'll get this one for my first e-ink reader, since I think it's better than the PRS 505 or other 6-inch devices in term of working with PDF.

A few quick references of the Eslick functionalities: PDF margin removel, fit-to-width, zoom in/out, go-to-page. Now the Eslick is about US$270~280 with shipping($259.99 without shipping), which is a little lower than the Sony's PRS 505.

PS. I didn't take these pictures myself. So here my special "thank you" the buddy who did this in another Chinese forum.

Regular PDF and margin removal. (some of the following test files in the pictures are in Chinese, but I'm sure it'd work equally well in English.)

Generally I heard the device worked pretty well.(Haven't got my own though, coz it'd take some time to be shipped to my place even if I ordered today). The page turn was fast, coz it got a 400MHz CPU. No review on the battery yet, since that guy just got it two days ago.
So enough about the picture reviews, what do you guys say?

Thank you very much Wanchope! I'm awaiting my eSlick one of these days, so I will contribute with my impressions too.

Just got my eslick over the weekend and well so far my rating would have to be 3 of 5 stars. The first few files I downloaded came out corrupted, still not sure why? I emailed customer service but have not received a reply yet. The device also froze up after I downloaded a song for the MP3 player. I had to use the hard restart in the back of the device. I finally was able to download some files that opened correctly but it will take a while to figure out how to view the files so the font is not tiny. One good thing is the eslick recharges through your computer when its plugged in via USB cable. I have an ebookwise which I really love and although the eslick is a lot smaller and lighter I'm not ready to give up my ebookwise just yet.

That cover's called NUUT or something, oringinally designed for Starebook. But it also fits the Eslick well.
I saw someone sell the covers on taobao.com (just like ebay in China), but unless you speak Chinese, I don't think it'd be easy for you to buy something on taobao. Maybe you can search for NUUT on ebay. It might be a korean product, and that's all I know so far.

That's too bad I was not able to find it on ebay and I don't speak Chinese. Hopefully Foxit will start selling covers soon.

Hey bro, how do you find the battery? Does it last as long as they claim, 7000pages? I heard the battery is only 700mAh, not as big as I thought.
And when you said download, you meant copying the files to the SD card?
