Ditto on loving my Kindle - check out your public library. They may have mobipocket books that can be converted to work on your Kindle. See the Kindlepid and Kindlefix wiki.

Actually, if you find mobipocket books without DRM, no conversion is needed. They work perfectly on a Kindle, just as is. For instance, under "EBooks" in the blue bar at the top of this page!
