Of course they should have put more effort into resolving this faster. But they haven't.

In an email to a potential new customer for Bookeen (see here) they gave an new synonym for "soon": "Before the end of the year". (They obviously didn't say what year )

So Bookeen's English synonyms (e)book contains now:

soon, very soon, shortly, presently, before long, in brief delays, when we get "aroundtoit", as quickly as possible, before the end of the year.

We will be waiting patiently for new synonyms here.

I'm somewhat involved elsewhere with the deployment of firmware, and it's easier to factory fit firmware than it is to supply something that end users can use. However that's at a much lower level than the Cybook. I tend to agree... again the only thing I can think of is that Bookeen want one firmware update to rule them all.

I think I'm being over optimistic though and giving them the benefit of the doubt where it's not deserved.

Still. They've promised the firmware for Christmas. Haha.
