French magazine "La Recherche"

Hi,

I am new to calibre and tried, without much success, to write a recipe for the most interesting French scientific magazine, La Recherche, at http://www.larecherche.fr/, which does not use RSS.

Could anyone please help?

Thanks in advance,
Robert

Well, not much help so far...

Let us rephrase the request:

Calibre's documentation shows how to create a recipe for sites using RSS feeds, and goes as far as showing to use the "RSS" recipe just obtained to create another one without using the feeds, but rather the "print ready" version of the site.

Now, how does one go when the site never uses RSS feeds, as this one?

Thanks for any help,
Robert

You use parse_index and create the list of articles from a web page that has links to the articles..
Read this:
http://calibre-ebook.com/user_manual...ownloaded-html
then look at some recipes that use parse_index to see how they work. There are some here, and you can find the built ins in the resources recipes folder of the Calibre install.

Thanks for answering. I followed this link and found out I have a great lot to learn. I'll print a couple of them and see whether it makes sense.
