Grey, Zane: The last of the Plainsmen V1. 23 Oct 2010

Zane Grey (January 31, 1872 – October 23, 1939) was an American author best known for his popular adventure novels and stories that presented an idealized image of the rugged Old West. As of June 2007, the Internet Movie Database credits Grey with 110 films, one TV episode, and a series, Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater based loosely on his novels and short stories.

About the Book:
Grey, famous for his western novels, writes his remembrances about Buffalo Jones, who labored, pursued, captured and tamed buffalo, for which the West gave him fame, and the name Preserver of the American Bison. Contents: The Arizona Desert; The Range; The Last Herd; The Trail; Oak Spring; The White Mustang; Snake Gulch; Naza! Naza! Naza!; The Land of the Musk-Ox; Success and Failure; On to the Siwash; Old Tom; Singing Cliffs; All Heroes But One; Jones on Cougars; and Kitty.

Charles Jesse Jones, known as Buffalo Jones (January 31, 1844–October 1, 1919), was an American frontiersman, farmer, rancher, hunter, and conservationist who co-founded Garden City, Kansas. He has been cited by the National Archives as one of the "preservers of the American bison".
