How to cancel a " Return " ?

Hi

I have a pdf format ebook and would like to convert it to epub.

I've successfully converted it to epub , however, the lines starts a new line even though there are spaces , the reason is the return in the pdf format.

Could I remove all the "hidden" return of the original pdf format when I convert it ?
By the way, how to add the table of contents ?

Thank you !

The best way to fix all this is to load the ePub into Sigil, A/B compare the PDF to the ePub, fix the ePub as needed and use Sigil to generate the ToC.

PDF is a very poor format to use as a source format without a lot of fixing of the converted format.

That means I could not fix the problem with Calibre ? What is Sigil ? what is ToC????

Thank you !

Sigil is an ePub editor and ToC is shorthand for table of contents. There is a section here for Sigil.

The only thing you can do with Calibre is play around with the huristic processing and see what sort of results for get.

@pumber Try MobiCreator - there's a link in the sticky in Peter T's post.

My experience is that it's almost always better than a Calibre PDF conversion and if you are not a perfectionist there may be no need to edit it, or at least not very much.

MobiCreator creates a PRC, Calibre does a 1st rate conversion of those to ePUB.

Calibre has a Tool for creating Table of Contents ==>>https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=208299
