Splendid news HIMS! In spring time, cats do wander (even if they have been "fixed"). Be sure to check him/her? over thoroughly - to be sure there's no injuries.

We had to put our beautiful cat Little Bit to sleep today. She had an aggressive form of cancer. She was 18 years old and had adopted my husband when he was still in his teens.

She was very protective of him, and our human-kittens. She would cuddle with them if they were sad or sick and make sure they were in bed at night. She would also try to herd my husband and me to bed if she felt we were up past our bed time.

We loved her dearly.

Such a behaviour as you described is in a cat seldom and noteworthy.
As if she were a witches' familiar.
