Cigarette Lighter Charger

I read somewhere, and can't remember where, about the power requirements of the iliad when charging via a car battery. I bought the car charger from irex and it comes with a multipurpose charger that has a selector switch for the required voltage. Unfortunately it has no information on what to set the selector to.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. In 3 days time I will be without electricity for over 2 weeks. Thank you very much.

OK I think I sorted it out, 10 to 18 volts is what it needs. Seems like a big range but hey, what do I know.

That is pretty much the range you can expect out of a car charger if it is nothing but a wire.
