Kaplyn awakens in a cavern and his memory seems to be playing tricks on him. Dragons haunt his dreams, but dragons are a myth and yet, whenever he sleeps, dragons seem to hunt him and only a thin veil separates him from their terror.

All is not as it seems. He, Lars and Lomar have survived their underground sojourn, but something is amiss. Once allies, Thrace and Allund seem to be on the precipice of war. A war that strikingly has all the hallmarks of Trosgarth, the ancient enemy. Drachar, too, seems implicated. Is the Prophecy coming to pass and is a Second Krell War imminent?

Disaster seems to be about to strike, for the Eldric, saviours of the Krell Wars, have mysteriously vanished in the fog of time and, with them, they have taken their sorcery, the only means to fight the demons. Worryingly, a crystal recovered from the Tree of Life is missing and if the enemy find that then they can open a gateway to the demon world. A permanent one. Instead of a trickle, the demon threat will be a flood. A flood set to drag countless souls screaming to Hell. Which heroes, if any, can face that prospect?

A race is on and the enemy is set to strike and yet few believe in the growing threat. Intrigue and betrayal has set the allies against each other. The enemy has grown strong and new evils are set to stand forth, Priests of Ryoch and Death Knights are but a few of the growing threat. Night is drawing in and for many, the dawn will never rise.
