Hacks Problem on Kindle DXI

Hi everyone,

I live in hong kong
and I own a kindle DX international
(Verson: kindle 2.3(399380047)+SSDX 0.1)

when I tried to uninstall the screen saver hack(SSDX 0.1),
using the file called "update_DX_screensaverhack-uninstall.bin"
but it failed.
my Kindle just did not sense there were any update,
then I restarted it, it went into a update mode,
but just a few seconds it said the update was not succeeded.
then I resumed it by pressing (R 4) button.

under this circumstances,
I can't update the firmware to 2.5,
until the screen saver hack had removed!

Please help me,
I really appreciate it!

DX != DXi, you need the DXi uninstall file, not the DX

Probably where you found your hack in the first place, there's a few different SS hacks laying around the web, so, there's no definitive answer

Also, as a rule of thumb, *never* force a hack update by rebooting your Kindle with a custom bin file, it certainly won't make it magically works, and will probably cause more harm than anything else...

I did find the file, but unfortunately, it didn't work.

can I have anyway to reset all things?
or remove all the updates?
P.S. the reset function inside the setting didn't work!

There's no DXi install file in that hack, so, obviously, that wasn't *exactly* this one.

and I finally get the right one,
then successfully remove the update!!
