Bargain (DRM-free@Angry Robot) Lavie Tidhar & Mike Shevdon 33% off [Alt-Hist/Fantasy]

SF/Fantasy publisher Angry Robot are offering two 33% off sales on selected titles bought directly from their webstore to tie in with some award nominations/series completions by their authors.

They sell DRM-free ePub and keep your books in the "cloud" and allow you to redownload whenever you like (though you should still make your own backups).

Also, persons outside the UK and EU get VAT deductions, so the prices can end up being even lower for them. I'm quoting based on the currency exchange the built-in Calculator on Mac is giving me.

BSFA and John W. Campbell Award-nominee Lavie Tidhar (ISFDB entry, Wikipedia) has just been nominated for the 2011 Sidewise award for best alternate history novel.

Until Monday June 25th (UK time), Angry Robot is discounting all three books in the award-nominated Bookman Histories set in an alternate Victorian steampunk London with reptilian royalty (someone's been paying attention to David Ickle, I see) series by 33% to £2.99 (which works out to roughly $4.79 USD per book; regularly £4.49, which is something like $7.25 USD).

Here's the special promo page on their website with direct links and more details.

Mike Shevdon (ISFDB) has just had the 3rd part of his Courts of the Feyre urban fantasy series published.

Until Monday, July 2nd, Angry Robot are offering two deals:

1. An introductory offer on the 1st book in the series for just £1.99 (approx $3.25 USD, down from £4.49). We received Sixty-One Nails as a Kindle freebie in 2010, incidentally.

2. A 3-for-2 bundle deal on all three books for £8.98 (approx $14, though AR says it works out to $11.28 or so after VAT deduction for $4 per book and is somewhat cheaper than buying the discounted 1st in series and then filling the rest at regular price).

More details and the deal math they did in the dedicated promo post for it here.

Happy reading, if any of these happens to be to your taste.
