Problems with Line Height Formatting

Question. It seems that, when I Convert to Epub for the FIRST time with a book (even if I'm converting FROM Epub as well as TO Epub), the line height settings that I entered are used. However, it also appears that if I try to RE-convert that same file, the line height settings that I have entered are ignored. And the only solution I've found is to delete the book, RE-add it, and, then try the new settings, which works.

Now, having said all that, it appears to ONLY be an issue with line height, as I can tinker with margins, base font sizes, etc, with no problem.

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this, or if I'm simply missing something? Anything?

Thanks in advance.

line height settings are applied only if they dont exist in the input document. Once you convert to epub they exist, so subsequent conversion will not touch them.

Is there an option to overwrite it if it already exists? If not, will there be in future versions?

It's not something that I'm interested in. Overwriting line heights globally is a bad idea as line height and font sizes interact and you can very easily end up with unreadable text. Adjusting line height is really the function of book editing software, not a converter.

Line Height can be set in the stylesheet; for example my default paragraphs use:

p { font-size:0.875em; text-indent:0; margin:0; margin-top:0.75em; line-height:1.25em }
