My son has some animal magnetism!
I had to share some pics of my son here. He's got pretty severe developmental delays (started to walk right before he was 3, still not talking and has alot of gross and fine motor skill delays), and has taken a liking to certain animals at the zoo. And it seems the animals have taken a liking to him...even REMEMBERING it seems. For instance, these photos...the kids before him they were in the back of the exhibit....he shows up and they run to the front. The Manatees seem to have some interest as well.
And I even got a video: |

Aw, what a cutie. The babies look like they want to come out to play with your son.
Thank you for sharing. |

This is so beautiful... Working with intellectually disabled people, I have found that animals relate a lot to them...

Thanks, it was a good moment that day LOL. We happened to be at the Zoo the other day and they moved them outside, but you could still get close at one point in the exhibit.
There happened to be alot of field trips and students standing around looking, and Zach and I went to the front, and he was looking through the mirror. One of the Bonobos was sitting just below the glass, and if you didn't *ahem* go past the barrier, you couldn't see him. Since he's only 3, I had him duck under and look....the Bonobo jumped up and hit the glass when Zach did, scared the CRAP out of all the students...Zach just laughed LOL. |

Very cute! He definitely has a way with animals- they never show off for me like that! Your son is adorable, and obviously enjoyed his time very much.
(I must admit to a few moments of distraction in the beginning of the video with mom showing off her wares back there....) |
