prc and jetbook

why would some prc/mobi books open and are readable on the jetbook and yet others by another publisher show coding ie arent readable- is there a way to make them readable-

Are the un-readable MOBI books DRM (secure) format?
The jetbook can`t read any DRM formats (yet, we`re still waiting).

Bought the books through bookstrand dont know if that means they are drm

calibre can't convert DRMed eBooks, that's one way to test.

If they are DRM protected then when you purchased them there should have been something saying they were a secure format and you would have to register your devices PID number with the site so they would work just on your reader.

I suggest you contact the site and check.
