cBook PDB/uPDB to Mobi

Hi guys,

I am trying to convert some (traditional) chinese PDB and uPDB files to a format readable by Kindle 3 (which should be able to deal with Chinese characters). They are all from http://www.haodoo.net/ and can be read with cBook (for Android).

Calibre just gives an error when I try to convert them to .mobi, and I have no idea what else could be done (convert to .doc or .html and then send to Amazon?).

Is there anyone with a comparable problem?

Hi,

I'm writing a program that convert haodoo PDB/uPDB to simple html structure then use Calibre to create the final mobi book.

Currently only the old PDB format works, but uPDB is planned.

Once the uPDB part is finished I will release it to public.

Installed it and it worked nicely. I'll load the files into my Kindle tonight and tell you how they look.

Hi, for some reason, when I zip the plugin and try to upload it through preferences in Calibre, it tells me that it does not contain a top level init_.py file. Can you please help me? Thank you!

Mac is try to be smart about zip files, but they screwed up in this case. You can try select the files and zip them, don't select the folder, otherwise the plugin files won't be at toplevel.
