Die endgültige Entscheidung ist getroffen, leider ist GPRS nicht dabei, aber WLAN und Bluetooth bleiben natürlich.

Pocketbook verkauft zurzeit 10000-15000 Geräten monatlich in Osteuropa, und dort ist GPRS nicht gefragt. Möglicherweise in 6 bis 12 Monaten, wenn die Verkaufszahlen in West Europa auch mehrere tausende Geräte pro Monat betragen, wird eine PB302+ Version mit GPRS oder UMTS geben.

Aber schon jetzt, dank USB-Host, gibt es die Möglichkeit mit einem UMTS-Stick online zu gehen.

Macht nix, ich hab eh einen UMTS.Stick () Ich glaub aber ehrlich, dass mit W-Lan und Bluetooth schon ausreichend ist! Gibt ja im urbanen Raum quasi überall W-Lan (zumindest bei uns)

Das sind doch gute Neuigkeiten!
WLAN wäre mir am wichtigsten und der USB-Host-Anschluß mit der Möglichkeit UMTS-Sticks andocken zu können ist doch super. Ich habe sowieso einen solchen UMTS-Stick fürs Macbook und für mich ist die Lösung damit eigentlich besser als wenn ich eine eigene UMTS-Karte bräuchte.
Aber wie schon gesagt: Die WLAN Fähigkeit ist wichtig!

Damit mich alle richtig Verstehen. Wahrscheinlich wird es nicht gleich mit erste Firmware Version möglich sein eine UMTS-Stick anzuschließen, es besteht nur die Möglichkeit es zu machen.
Wenn jemand von der Programmierer die Treiber für die bekannte UMTS-Sticks für Pocketbook anpasst, nur dann wird es gehen.
