Who said anything about law, right or wrong? I'm explaining why it's a bad deal for developers to let Amazon choose their prices. Developers, of course, are free to choose to work with Amazon.

But the notion that a developer (or publisher) has nothing to lose by letting Amazon set low prices by subsidizing those prices -- is just willing ignorance by this point.
