Resize window on Mac OS X

I have installed Calibre 0.6.30 on SL and it starts (

, all last versions failed). But I can't resize the app window because the task status icon fills the complete status bar and if I click on the right upper corner, I get only the task dialog. Also the green + in the window top does not work - if i click it, calibre windows hides. What can I do?

Can you post a screenshot, I'm not quite clear on what the problem is

Wow the whole interface looks rather messed up. First thing to do is go to preferences and change your interface language to english (make sure a bug in the translations is not causing this).

Also open Console.app and post any output you see when running calibre.

Changing language (difficult, because setup dialog is also wrongly arranged) and restart has no effect.

Have you tried deleting preferences?
In:
User/library/preferences/calibre
quit calibre, put the whole folder in the trash (don't empty) launch calibre.

This has no effect. After deleting preferences (complete folder) Calibre ask me for language, folder, reader and starts then with the the same interface and error I posted.

It seems to think you have a working collection going. Is this a new install? I can see it shows a bunch of items with no title and no author.
Dump the prefs again then when it starts select a folder that you know is blank, maybe in your user/documents folder.

I have completely uninstalled Calibre. After fresh install with default values I get this console output (start, install dialog and close) and gui.py (the interface is still wrong).

OS X appears to be quaratining the libraries in the calibre app bundle. I don't know enough about OS X to tell you how to fix that, but perhaps some one else does.
