of course it is. What you thought Andy Rubin just woke up and after drinking his morning coffee and said to himself " Im going to tweet how many activations on Android devices we see everday, then maybe I'll tweet Im going to have scambled eggs and then off to the office".

which I think was PR stunt gone bad. It was creating a "mythical Unicorn" to build excitement then by the time they unleased this fantastical beast nobody cared.

From what I understand, it was a lot more than that. The proximity sensor and camera lens had to be redesigned for the white cover.
