Der 302 wird nicht nur per W-Lan und Bluetooth ins Netz gehen können, es gibt sogar einen integrierten Shop namens Bookland an Bord mit einem großzügigen Angebot an kostenlosen Büchern zum Direktdownload. Quellen dieser kostenlosen Bücher in Deutsch und Englisch sollen Gutenberg und MobileRead sein. Die Rede ist von tausenden von freien Büchern.

Aber auch der Kauf von eBooks soll ohne Zwischenstation (PC oder Mac) möglich sein. Damit würde der 302 als erster Reader mit deutschsprachigem Interface einen solchen Shop bieten. Der Kindle hat keine deutsche Firmware, beim Sony ist ein Kauf immer nur über den Umweg PC machbar. Books sollen vorerst in Deutsch, Englisch und Russisch angeboten werden.

DAS dürfte einigen Anbietern etwas zu Denken geben. Auch wenn sonst nicht viel am eBook-Markt geht - wenigstens auf PocketBook ist noch Verlass.

Ja, sieht so aus. Zumindest, was den integrierten Bookshop angeht. Ob der Webshop dann auch schon funktioniert, weiss ich leider nicht. Mal Forkosigan fragen.

Zum Verkaufsstart wir die Anbindung schon funktionieren, aber wird wahrscheinlich nur eine Testversion des Shops laufen, da die Befühlen des Shops mit deutschen und englischen Titel noch läuft. Die Vollversion wird so schnell wir möglich starten.

Also den integrierten Bookshop wird auf jeden Fall dabei sein, möglicherweise vorerst ohne Kaufmöglichkeit, nur mit kostenlosen Titel.

Auf den Shop wird dann aber über WLAN zugegriffen, richtig? Etwas wie beim Kindle oder txtr mit einem Mobilfunkanbieter dürfte eher nicht zu erwarten sein?

Vorrest über Wlan oder über Handy als Modem mit Bluetooth. Später mit PB603 direkt über UMTS, müssen noch einen Mobilfunkanbieter suchen.

Sehr euphorisch geschrieben, macht aber nicht viel Sinn Nach dem "nicht nur per" wird eine weitere Art das PB mit dem Internet zu verbinden erwartet und nicht eine weitere Funktion. Bin mal gespannt, wann das die ersten Journalisten missverstehen
