ZIP Conversion to EPUB fail (for KOBO VOX)

Hey guys,

Pretty dam new to this...

I'm actually doing this for a friend every time I try to convert a zip file I keep getting this error.

We have like 2000 plus books...

I tried to do it individually and I get the same error.

I extracted the mobi file from the zip my self and it converted fine... but I dont want to manually extract 2000 files.

Anyways here is the error I get...
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are there any other files in the ZIP? To be successful converting directly from the ZIP there needs to be a single file (unless it is HTML which gets special treatment). Any other files being present will make things go wrong.

Other than upacking the ZIP then I believe that the answer is no with existing capability. It would probably not be difficult to unpack all the ZIP files and then extract the actual ebook files to add them in bulk if you wanted to go that route..

The alternative would be to decide you are not happy with this restriction within Calibre itself and then work out the needed changes to the source to achieve what you want. In such a case the changes would almost certainly be accepted by Kovid for incorporation into the standard release.

This illustrates both the strengths and weaknesses of the open-source model used by Calibre. Anyone is free to make changes that will benefit the many, but they have to have the motivation and skills to do it.
