What is the latest and greatest method for removing DRM?

I have absolutely no compunction removing DRM from books that I have lawfully purchased or on library books that I delete within the borrowing time allowed by the lending institution.

The epub and PDF books can be read as well, if you remove the DRM and convert them to Mobi format. We're not allowed to give you explicit directions on this site. Here are some terms to Google: mobidedrm and ineptdecrypt.

The "change the DRM" route is via kindlefix. This flips one bit in the ebook so that it works on a Kindle if the lending library ebook was originally checked out with the Kindle's PID. It is probably easier to go the mobidedrm route, but kindlefix isn't circumventing DRM - the lending library (acting for the publisher and the author) has authorized you to read the ebook on your Kindle and all kindlefix does is allow you to do this.
