renaming prc

Hi,
I've just bought a DR1000S.
To load my ebook I've copyed prc via explorer from my computer to my SD Card.
Now the name that appear on DR1000S is totaly different from title that I set on mobypocket, when i tried to change the filename on sdcard the names on my reader changed again without correlation with title of book.

How can I set title and author data on prc so that it remain consistent on my DR1000S

When you change the title using MobiPocket Desktop Reader, it only changes the .mbp file and so the changes don't persist when you use another device. As pilotbob said, use mobi2mobi to permenantly change the title in the .prc/.mobi file. Note that there is a GUI version for windows if you prefer this approach over command line programs (GUI for Mobiperl tools).
