Kobo Store: Preview too short!
OK, I tried to read a preview of "A Visit from the Goon Squad". It got me through the table of contents, and that was it.
Come on, Kobo. You can do better than that! |

Looks like they've selected an arbitrary number of pages from the front of the book, rather than the first chapter.

I noticed this as well. I downloaded 3 previews and none of them included actual chapters of the books. Just the preface, notes etc...
Would be nice if they just gave the first two or three chapters instead. |

It would be nice if a human paid attention to it. 2-3 chapters is a lot, but 10 pages of ACTUAL TEXT would be swell.

We are aware. If you look on the Kobo Touch, you'll notice the previews are "fatter".

Some of the previews are also set by the author of the work, in the case of works that were self-published or published through Smashwords and other epublication services. So don't be quick to blame the store for the lack of preview.

It would be nice if Kobo adopted a standard for previews as Amazon has done on their website. They show 1) cover, 2) copyright, 3) table of contents, 4) index, and, 5) excerpt.
