Is there a Mobipocket app for the Sony PRS-500???
Yep.

We're about to buy a PRS-505, but that means we have a PRS500 just lying around. I'd like to add Mobipocket support to it. I know that there was an app for iLiad, but has anyone ported that to the PRS500?

There are two problems:

1. The iLiad MobiPocket Reader is written in Java; the Sony does not have a Java Virtual Machine.

2. The code is the copyrighted property of iRex and MobiPocket, and both their lawyers will jump on you from a great height should you even THINK of making any unlicenced use of it .

Of course, you know given all the recent tools mentioned, that it would be fairly an easy task to convert your Mobipocket format eBooks into LRF eBooks.
