The History of U.S. Marine Corps Operations in World War II - Pearl Harbor to Guadalcanal relates the history of the U. S. Marine Corps in the early days of World War II. This is volume 1 of a 5 part series of books regarding the role of the Marines in World War II.

It tells of the readiness of Japan for war and the nearly total lack of preparedness of the part of the United States.

The book is illustrated with maps and photos. Most maps are in color, which should show well on e-ink readers.

As a U. S. government document, it is in the public domain.

They are Pearl Harbor to Guadalcanal, Isolation of Rabaul, Central Pacific Drive, Western Pacific Operations and Victory and Occupation.

Those are the subtitles which I used in lieu of History of U.S. Marine Corps
Operations in World War II Volume I-V.
