iPhone 6 Production Issues - Launch Delay to 2015?

According to a July 13th article on AppAdvice.com, production problems might delay the launch date of the 5.5" model of the iPhone 6 until 2015:

"This is according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-regarded Apple analyst at KGI Securities.

In a new research note to investors, Kuo says that issues with the in-cell touch panel and metal casing could affect both the handset’s 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, with the problems considered to be more easily remedied in the smaller version.
For the larger version, there’s also the matter of its sapphire-coated display not proving strong enough to pass drop tests. This, along with the other pressing issues, could lead to the larger device’s not being released by the end of the year. But if it does get launched this year, Kuo predicts it will hit the market in the middle of the last quarter in limited quantities."

The hand of Steve reaching out from the grave and messing things up for Apple because they're producing such hideously large devices. If he would've wanted them this large, he'd have made them this large. Shame on Apple!

So what this article is saying is that a product which has not been announced, and for which no launch date has been made public, has been delayed. Is that a fair summary?

There are always rumors swirling around Apple launches, a large percentage of which are utterly bogus. This one doesn't really pass the smell test. Kind of sounds like someone is trying to cover their bases if it turns out that a larger iPhone doesn't come out.

The article seems to be more of an update on previous articles. I haven't looked further back than an article from April, which gives a link to a Reuters article.

Basically according to "supply chain sources" Apple is going for bigger displays. In April they were saying that the 4.7" would launch first, and the 5.5" later. Between then and now there had been rumors that the two models would be released at the same time. Now it goes back to different release times.

The real core issue for publicity, true or not, is to get the Name right, and that is happening.
